THERE is a makeshift market on the main Bonosree Road at Meradia Bazar every Wednesday which creates a heavy traffic jam. Every day thousands of people negotiate this road and many vehicles ply. It is a popular weekly market and many people converge to the spot from far away places in the interior to buy things from there as prices are quite cheap compared to the other markets in the vicinity. The Bonosree Road goes all the way to Staff Road Narayanganj and this very important road is occupied by the makeshift market causing sufferings to the commuters. I hope the authorities will do something to shift this market from the main road to some other place. Because the traffic congestion created there is also affecting the traffic situation of Rampura road and surrounding areas. Many people like me regularly face this problem and I see commuters cursing the authorities regularly for allowing this road for a makeshift market. I sincerely hope the authorities will look into the matter and shift this market from the main road.
